So do teeth guards work?
Now there’s a question. You’re just about to shell out $600 to your dentist for a teeth guard, you’ve bit into the mould, you’ve done the rinse and spit routine and you’re about to have the impression made. But will you stop teeth grinding?
Maybe!
Not much of an answer that is it?
The reality is that your new teeth guard probably won’t stop your teeth grinding habit, but it will stop your teeth grinding together! Which means less wear and tear on your teeth.
Well, that is untill your new $600 custom made teeth guard wears away. Then you’re back to square one.
Of course there is the slight chance that your teeth guard will break your habit. It never did for me, but as I said there is always a chance.
